Our oil drum seats have come a long way from when we first developed one in an attempt to build some down-time seating for our workshop back in 2013. The original was built from an off cut of an oil drum, which was beaten into shape by hammers. It did the job, just a little refinement was needed, the phrase “Heath Robinson” came up a lot.
We pride ourself in our quality of work, so since then, we have been developing the idea into and have come up with a design we finally like. These refined pieces of furniture have found themselves in offices, studios, gardens and shows. Our oil drum chairs are elegant, minimal and carefully hand built, which has earned them a place in Vogue magazine and on BBC’s coverage of RHS Tatton Park 2016.
These seats were featured in the Gold Award Winning Garden, Urban Glade, Young Landscape Contractor and Young Planting Designer 2016 RHS Tatton Park.
These tin drum seats are all hand made by us in our Sheffield workshop, so can be tailor made to suit your requirements. To discover the options, click on the above tabs to see how they can be customised.
We have made oil drum chairs to suit all kinds of application, add castors, company logos, custom fabric requests or just choose your colour. Make it unique to you.
